Environmental Water Management
Aqua Terra Environmental, LLC.
Water management of any type begins with conducting a resource assessment and identifying the water resources which will need to be protected while performing a specific scope of work. Once site specific water resources have been assessed and identified, Aqua Terra can begin to understand how those resources, and the scope of work being performed, fit into the regulations; and the proper permits can be applied for. Water Management encompasses everything from stormwater to ground-water, and as such requires a specialized set of expertise to ensure your project is in compliance.
Stormwater management, when properly integrated into a construction process, ensures compliance with the C.W.A. (Clean Water Act) and protection of the identified water resources. The importance of stormwater management can not be understated. It’s more than just having a S.W.M.P. (Stormwater Management Plan) that looks like every other S.W.M.P.; it’s about fulfilling the terms and conditions of the permit. Developing a site specific S.W.M.P. that is unique and specific to the site conditions encountered, and that is implementable with the scope of work is the key to building an exemplary and cost effective project. Water quality sampling is the proof that you are meeting the terms and conditions of your permit discharge standards. When costs soar out of control it’s usually because the proper stormwater management plan is not working in conjunction with the scope of work or other project management variables. Aqua Terra can create cost effective, innovative S.W.M.P.’s that meet regulatory requirements and provide a large array of sampling to support your permit requirements.
