Janel L. Servis, the owner and founder of Aqua Terra Environmental, LLC, is an Environmental Scientist and Engineer. Janel holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science from the Colorado School of Mines; and her 30 year career has spanned many interdisciplinary environmental, scientific, and engineering positions. Janel has continued to consult utilizing an interdisciplinary approach (engineering, hydrology, geology and biology). She has worked as an environmental regulator, scientist, consultant, and engineer in both the public and private sectors, as well as in Central Europe and the Middle East. Prior to starting her own business, she served as the Director of Environmental Services for Carroll & Lange, Inc. Since opening Aqua Terra Environmental, LLC. one of her main focuses has been to provide consulting in a manner that will lead to compliance and a better overall understanding of the regulations. Janel has always believed that innovative compliance should remain cost-effective; and that education which bridges the gaps between regulators, municipalities, and private industry is a key component to success. Ultimately Janel seeks to bridge the gap between regulator and permittee through her consulting company, and hopes to educate and bring all entities closer to understanding how regulations can have direct impacts.

Natasha Hogan

Natasha Hogan has over eleven years of industry experience. Prior to becoming VP of Aqua Terra, Natasha worked in a myriad of different industry sectors, from large scale land development, vertical construction to CDOT, Natasha brings with her not only the technical expertise required to operate and work in a high level environmental engineering firm but the construction background necessary to marry the two fields. Natasha brings to her clientele a balanced and cost effective approach to environmental consulting; one that has a full understanding of the construction process while being able to manage her clients liability and ensure they are able to garner compliance, whatever their problem and budgetary requirements.

Cassandra Burdo
Office Manager

Cassandra Burdo graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in December 2019 with a 3.5 GPA and two Bachelor of Arts degrees and a minor. One degree in Anthropology, another in Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. Through the academic training she received she is able to identify interconnected issues and communicate these issues across different disciplines. Additionally, her technical writing, and attention to both quantitative and qualitative details make her a highly valuable team member.
